Goce Delchev student dormitory, Skopje, North Macedonia

If it’s a sunny day in Skopje, there is no better place to be than admiring the magnificent Goce Delchev student dormitory. Designed by Georgi Konstantinovski as part of the reconstruction of Skopje following the devastating earthquake in 1963, the four blocks are joined on the sixth floor by “flying bridges”, which are impressive to behold. But for me, the stand-out element of this place is the beautiful use of texture, can’t get enough of corrugated concrete.
